:the beast waited as the man turned and spoke to something in the building then he beckoned for rothek to step inside, at first rothek was hesitant in following him, he stuck his head forward and sniffed to find the smell he had been searching for all this time!

slowly rothek crawled in on all fours and looked around at the new scenery and of course taking in the wonderful smell.:

:right as rothek had familiarized himself with his new surroundings, his stomach made another loud gurgle, this time it was enough for him to pay attention, he hadn't eaten in quite some time and the constant ache of hunger was starting to sour his temper, he stood up on his hind legs and let out a yawn that was mixed with a growl of frustration. his lips curled outward exposing pointed teeth and two fangs at the front of his mouth. after this display he walked over to a corner and sat down on the floor waiting for the man in white to come back.:

Dallid notes the beastman is no longer following, so quickly prepares a plate of bread and chicken along with a bowl of water and sets them on the floor near the dining table. He then returns to the hall and beckons Rothek toward him while pointing at the food.

:rothek saw the white man return this time he was pointing at something, rothek crawled over to investigate intermittently sniffing the air as he approached, then he caught the scent... chicken!! Rothek sprang to his feet and headed toward where the food was setting. grabbing a hunk of chicken and holding it in his clawed hands, the beastman began to devour the prepared meal.

Dallid smiles where he stands near the hall, pleased the beastman went for the prepared food... and nothing else.

:rothek had just about finished all that dallid had laid out for him when he heard another word he understood. friend.

he turned to face dallid as a sizable chunk of bread still hung from the side of the creatures lip, rothek pushed the chunk into his mouth and chewed before nodding to the white man. then the beast could have just grunted oddly or dallid was hearing things. but it could have also been that the beast said something that sounded like the word "friend":
