The story people didn't see

Post by GM-Mike »

I was asked to fill in a piece of the story you guys were not privvy to so here goes.

The Mining Village.

About the same time that the Order was dispatching with Haven, a man entered the mining village, the sight where the peasants were evacuated to. Many of them recognized the man, a local, last seen talking with Veran (the man that Tree Man identified as the Strong Man) from the fishing village. Before quietly slipping away again, he whispered something into the ears of one of the peasant men. That man immediately carried out the two suggestions that he was under. He began setting fires to the buildings and began shouting the command word that he was given. It quickly spread throughout the villagers, many of whom had similar suggestions on them. The men began setting fires, and the women and children stood between the men and the guards, refusing to back down even when ordered. Many of the guards panicked, not knowing what to do. There were many causalties, but perhaps not as many as hoped for by the Strong Man and his apprentice Corbyn because there was one calming force that arrived shortly thereafter, another man with a newly formed mark on his neck, a man determined to find peace in a world that seemingly was falling apart all around him, a man who the men, no longer under the effects of interrogation trusted, responded to, and calmed down. In the end, while Robert was able to save many people, it was not nearly enough. In the swirling smoke Robert stood and fighting through tears wrought from tragedy, he was more determined than ever to keep his peasants safe...

I wonder if others have stories they don't mind sharing, that people might not know about. Perhaps it was only them and a few npcs/gms that were there for the scene.
