*Holding the girl tightly, she lifts the girl up to hold up on her hip, to make the girl feel more secure. Turning her back to the Gargoyle to make the girl feel shielded from Onyx, Talana speaks to the girl in a soothing voice:*

"Sara, this is Onyx. He is a friend to those who stand here and helps to protect town. He will neither hurt, nor eat you. Alright...?"

*Talana looks back and reaches a hand out to shake Onyx's extended finger in a friendly way, smiling warmly to him.*

Onyx sorry if you scared, Onyx go find food somewhere else.

*Turns and walks off deeper into the woods*

The girl looks after Onyx as he trudges off calming herself. "Your not scared of him?"

After a moment she steps away from Talana and wipes her eyes. "Gargoyles took my daddy when I was little. That's why the pirates want Sean."

Looking over at Ian she realizes that he had asked her a question earlier. "Um, I don't think so... Not many shiny or jingly people at Winter Haven when I left home to look for help."

*showing some surprise when Onyx flexed his wings, watched with a small wry smile on his face as Sara ran and was caught by Talana*

"Well Talana, you do have a way with children.."

*Looks to Onyx* "If you care to stay here Onyx, perhaps some real food will come through the portal here for you."

*Looks back to Talana and Sara* " Too bad little one, I think you would like Pasha and Nadia.. although I am sure you will get a chance to meet them as once we find you a way back to Winterhaven I am sure they will be returing as well.. Until then let Talana there get you back to our Inn and get you some food, and something to drink. I am sure Farak here will be more than willing to escort you and then you can tell everyone what help you need..Ok?"

*Talana nods to Sara as Ian speaks and smiles once more in a reassuring way as she starts walking slowly up the hill, towards the Inn, still carrying the child somewhat awkwardly, as the girl is no toddler and children of this size are not usually carried as such.*

"Come on, sweet one... we'll get you some tart from Sen when we get up there... he's an excellent cook..."

*as the group starts walking Woden intentionally steps in front of Farak blocking his path. Squinting suspiciously at first then softening to a forlorn grin*

Walking from the woods a woman can be seen standing in the shadows. Not saying anything to anyone she just stands there looking from under her hood. Waiting to see if anyone notices her, she takes one step forward.

"It is good to see you again Woden. I understand how you wouldn't recognize me right away. I know we elves all look the same to you", Farak chuckles "We must share an ale soon. I have a few tales to tell and I am sure it has been eventful here. If you'll excuse me, I need to escort these fine ladies to the Inn."

Farak takes up a defensive stance next to Sarah with his shield and sword at the ready "Shall we go?"

As the group begins to move the hooded person keeps to the shadows. Just in view of the people. Only Elvin ears could hear her say any thing about the “fools of haven.”

*Wodens eyes scan the woods, pausing for only a second, then turns and hands a Mug to Ian. Setting the other mug on a log and balancing the 1/2 loaf of bread across it, he falls inline behind the others yelling over his shoulder to the woods as he goes*

"..for You and Onyx to share if you like."

The group walks along the misty road back to Haven unaccosted by anything fowl that may be lurking in the shadows. Sarah now smiling softly walks with Talana, but with one hand grasping the rings of Farak's chain mail for support on the other side.

"Oh yeah, a barrel of fun.. I got a favor to ask. We got a visitor out of the gate recently, the little girl you may have seen with Talana.. she comes from Winterhaven.. and No.. she is not affiliated with the ones you want to meet again. I would like you to watch over the gate for me for a bit, I want to go find Pasha and Nadia and inform them of the news. Ok by you?"
