Takitaki 2010 News and Events - June 12th 2010

Post by GM-Taki »

Hello Friends!

To begin with, we'd like to welcome new Takitaki 2010 volunteers Sean, Stephanie, Arend and Anna to the campaign. We're so very happy to have you on board to help us spread the word of David's quest to be the next State Representative in the 92nd District! As the election draws closer we'll need all hands on deck to make sure every voter has the chance to get to know David and what he stands for, so come on out and volunteer. You can show up for a single hour, a single day or every day between now and the August 3rd Primary - any time you can spare will help put David in Lansing this November!

We're also now holding walks and phone banks almost every weekday afternoon, so if you've got a few hours to spare stop by Campaign H.Q. at 2116-B East Apple Ave. or give us a call at 231-747-7988. You'll get the chance to meet with our staff and all sorts of great people in the community while encouraging voters to Think Big! and vote for David!

Don't forget about our next big FUNdraiser with the Waxies at Quinn and Tuite's in Grand Rapids on June 26th. You'll never find more fun for $7.00, and every dime will help David's campaign!

If you didn't get the chance to hear David's interview with P.A. on 103.7 "The Beat" on Friday, you're in luck! Campaign go-to guy Mike Borgerding recorded it and has posted it to Facebook for all to see. It's also the very first video to appear on the offical David Takitaki You Tube Channel, so be sure to check that out at:http://www.youtube.com/user/davidtakitaki David is filming a whole series of videos to inform the people of the 92nd District about his campaign, so check back regularly and tell your friends!

David would like to thank the Black Women's Political caucus for inviting him to their annual breakfast. It was a spirited event, and when David spoke his intellect, strength and passion for our community made a powerful statement to those assembled. Many came to the breakfast knowing about David's campaign, but many more left Thinking Big!

In fact, David's efforts have inspired another benefactor to get involved and match any donation made to http://www.davidtakitaki.com before Monday. That means that your donation of $25 will be doubled to $50 worth of support for David's campaign. No amount is too small, especially when it's going to be doubled! Please help David as he fights to bring about a brighter day for all of us.

Thanks, and as always remember to "Think Big!" on August 3rd and vote for David Takitaki
