Also, a good example is for anyone that was at the one day. It was where the cave-dwelling Guthries demanded we pay a toll for passing through 'their' caves. As Garritt I ended up being the one to deal with them, and they only wanted Dallid to heal their sick, and some food. Nonetheless, most of the...

Well, I don't know. She hit Voralen for a 5 crush upon bursting into the Inn, and that was the only shot she ever took at us, because we never swung back, we only asked why she would do such a thing, and she proceeded to tell us. We went outside, and Voralen bent a knee to her when she demanded that...

See, I never realized there were so many roleplaying plots. Maybe it's because I lived in the Inn, which is definitely going to change this upcoming year. I'm getting tired of "No, we need warriors on this quest- you stay here and be a guard." As for the Sasha plot, I'm sure it was cool fo...

I also think that many of the players' actions made it sooooo much easier for Vince to do what he did (not to lessen your impact, Vince  ). I sometimes saw a serious lack of roleplaying and communication between the 'good' side of the town. It's why the characters up at the fort seriously whoo...

The upkeep issue was one of the reasons I use packets as Garritt at WH, because I figure that'd take the wondering out of it, so I didn't have to constantly explain that the throwing knives were stand-ins for Gren. packets because everyone kept telling me that they would have to be upkept. On the ot...

As far as I can tell, my proiblem was that I must have sucked a bunch of snow into the air intake and it ended up draining into the back three cylinders, because the gaskets are perfect so otherwise I have to claim "magic".

Blame Corbyn.
*Shrugs*

Sounds fine to me.

*Daine looks up fom his food as Darkclaw speaks* You know, he has a point. I was so happy to see somewhere for my people to rest and regroup that I forgot to ask if this place has a name. The Keep and surrounding areas, I mean- not the Inn. *Looks to Esmerelda and grins a bit* Oh, and I have to apo...

This could take the form of better tactics, skill variety, or just swinging for more damage with more hit points. I have NPC'd many times, and in my opinion there has been slightly excessive concern about giving the PCs more than they can handle. I think the time is right to have this happen, to re...

*The door to the inn opens, admitting a bit of a chill breeze, as well as a one-eyed man unknown to all but Aurora. Obviously a Guthrie, not far into manhood, he carries himself with an unusual seriousness for one of that race. He moves up towards the bar, and leans a steel-headed wooden warhammer ...

Thank you very much for the hospitality, sir. I can tell you it'll be greatly appreciated to have a safe place to settle down. As I said before, I'll be glad to help any way I can. I know my way around a forge pretty well, although I was far from making Journeyman when we were forced to leave. At th...

Thank you Abaddon. They shouldn't be too much trouble to squeeze in- there's barely more than a score of them, not counting Serith and me. We were camped a couple of miles east when we heard the bell; the two of us came here alone in case there was trouble. Luckily, we have no seriously sick or woun...

(Looks to Aurora, and his shoulders slump a bit) Am I looking for anyone? No, milady, I have no one left that I might look for." (turns to Abaddon) "But I may have something that may interest you , sir. I am unnofficially the leader of a group of refugees, mostly women and children, from t...

*As Abaddon looks out of the gates, he see's two men standing on the road outside. One is a serious man wrapped in a dark cloak, masking much of his face apart from a goatee. He gives the impression that he is entirely certain of himself and his abilities, and gives off a palpable aura of magic. The...

Awesome, my car got better! Let's make that the new trend.

Got it towed to the local garage we use, and it turned out that neither the engine was siezed up nor was it the starter! It was moisture locked in the worst way- somehow the back three cylinders were filled with water.

A stranger at the gates of the keep

It has been several hours since Abaddon rang the newly hung bell in the tower of the new keep. A chill breeze is blowing, but children still scamper in the safety of the walls. The sounds of the keep's continuing construction are a steady background rhythm in the clear air. Suddenly the peace is bro...
