Re: A Cold Day at the Inn

"While Dakkon may prove himself in time, such time has hardly passed, Kaylan. The simplest of traps is to send one of your own into the midst of the enemy, declare their friends in trouble and in need of a hasty response, then lead them to a specific location perfect for the slaughter. If citiz...

Re: A Cold Day at the Inn

"My people have embraced more open minds of late. The adjustment is slow, disquieting, and not without opposition, but most necessary in my opinion." "Dark Elf Outcasts were encountered by Haven very recently - within the last decade or two. Trade routes were established and they prov...

Re: And there was celebration!

Alinar glides slowly through the chaos, somehow managing to pull subtle movements that avoided collisions with stumbling keg-bearers and preoccupied party planers. He manages to maintain an air of serenity amid all the hubbub, but not without significant effort. He stops behind a man preparing paper...

Re: October 2014 Feedback

A nice event, overall. We certainly had plenty to do! By Saturday night, it became overwhelming, but that was due largely to PC apathy and the inability to get a decent group together to get important things done. We have only ourselves to blame. Cave of the Ancients was clever - broken going, a mea...

Re: A Cold Day at the Inn

Alinar sets his wine goblet down precisely and carefully closes his book with a velvet mark eloquently placed. "Haven has chronicled dealings with Dark Elves in the past - to mutual benefit. Outcasts such as you. Trust is certainly possible, but not easily forthcoming, as I imagine you might un...

Re: August event feedback

That's the problem - what we faced wasn't really a dragon (unless it's current form is an enslaved dragon) and it wasn't killed, depriving the PCs of an epic accomplishment for all their efforts and sacrifice.

Re: August event feedback

Friday night was a complete waste for me. For once I felt reasonable compulsion to go on a Red X plot and was excited about finally doing so. Then the worst kind of plot came in - one NPC Camp should well know to avoid - a babysitting plot. An NPC who was far too dangerous to be left alone tied me d...

Nothing would put my mind more at ease then to have all the dwarves sitting together in clear view.

Re: Meal Plan Aug 2014

I can help. Alinar would have no problem making sure such cleaning tasks are 'done properly', as no other race can do anything as good as an Elf. :P Sanitation is vitally important where the kitchen is concerned! Well, okay, sanitation is important everywhere and in all things at all times.

Re: April 2014 event Feedback

Had a great time at the event! The best part was that all of our abilities worked as you’d expect them to against some of the more common foes (bandits)! The fear of death was high, but for the most part NPCs held back believably when necessary. The night raids on the village were a prime example – ...

Re: From the King

The messengers had been deployed across the Vanguard to promote expansion into the Wildlands. None would be coming to Alinar’s door, of course. He had come to make Elven wisdom available to Haven. That wisdom might spell the difference between an enlightened society and one that abused magic until a...

I'd be in for breakfast and a la cart. I like the idea of flexible food offerings - eat when you're hungry - provided folks don't scarf themselves until there's nothing available later in the day.

Re: One Day 2014 Feedback

This event was most fun. We stayed busy and the combat seemed perfectly balanced. Each encounter had its own unique flavor – every battle felt different. As combat went on, the healer group grew fat with the fallen, but we never had to retreat and recuperate. Nor, clearly did we ever roll effortless...
