on that matter though, if we make the case that people shouldnt put themselves in a dangerous position then we also have to make the point that the game should not have rules that place those same people in a dangerous position(such as arctic blast). we have to be consistent in this, so if its again...

id have to agree that the other larp that actuall has religion in it has seen absolutely no problems, and many people even find it entertaining in its aplication, and if they dont then they just ignore it and do whatever they were already doing. i have to restate though, that i see where chris is co...

id have to agree that because the game is fictional, and that everyone accepts it as fictional, that an argument of it bothering somone out of character would hold little water in all actuality. we have people that are canibalistic and some other people that support slavery, even though out of game ...

i dont think it should be a pc fighting and npc to determine shield legality, but that it would work better if two gm's paired off to check all shields ingame before this next event, that way we have a static oppinion from the two gm's that will check every shield so there isnt anyone saying that on...

if were discussing safety, and that fighting from the ground is not safe, then there shouldnt be a spell that forces people to fight prone. not to be hipocritical or anything, but if i was hit by a spell that required me to get beat on for 5 seconds if i wanted to stand up, id spin around and fight ...

Problem is for me, I'm not good at making shields. So I guess if mine becomes illegal I'll just having to see who will make me a shield similar to the one I have now but designed with all the new specs if it comes down to that. I was just putting it out there for sometimes it's not totally easy for...

i dont think machine gunning is really the issue here, and it hasnt been a big problem almost at all. although i believe it gets brought into light more than it should due to people not understanding exactly what machinegunning is(namely they mistake people calling numbers clearly and quickly as mac...

subjective shield size should really not be in the rules, there should really be a set size for all shields. because, a shield for erik or taki is a turtling shield for me or christen. there should really be set parameters. also for leg damage, id go by dagorhir rules, foot on ground doesnt count, i...

def agree to that point, but iv been meaning to bring this topic up for a while, some peoples shields are quite unsafe in a combat type environment. the all foam ones are perfectly find, and many of the smaller buckler type ones are good as well, since they dont usually have protruding edges. but iv...

perhaps we could consider looking over the rules again for the placement of shield when in use and safety standards as well. i dont think i really have a problem with someone swinging low while defending with their shield, so long as they arnt bent over and turtling, but where they put that shield w...

id like to note that crouching can also, potentially, be dangerous, as your legs are splayed out and your upper body is lower(thus making your head a more presentable target). however, under the current rules crouching is allowed. the reasoning i see behind this is that you can still move around and...
