Re: Advanced warrior swap out skills
like the charms that all do something different things and none of which use a verbal that is in any way synonymous or hints at the effect. :P Actually I think the problem with Charms is that their names are ALL pretty much synonyms for the same effect, lol. Calm, Soothe, and Pacify are big culprit...

Re: repel
I get you- I over-exaggerated things when i posted that and I apologize. A lot of times it does work. But I know against a ton of the supernatural stuff at the One-day I couldn't be sure whether repel worked at all, because I was trying to hit *everything* that seemed supernatural with it and everyt...

Re: One Day 2014 Feedback
I thought the event was really great. Basically everything that I would describe as making it good has been echoed at least once in the posts above. I think the best moment for me was when I demanded as to who would help me lay Florick to rest, and everyone just stared at me and made no move whatsoe...

Re: Advanced warrior swap out skills
I do have to say that the current swap out skills are so underpowered/horribly written that it's almost like they were thrown in because Warrior "had to get something" with the expansion. One replaces sage buffs for a whopping one-time "2 crush" that takes a ton of time to bring ...

Re: repel
Repel nearly never works, and never as it's supposed to. It never stops supernatural monsters from attacking me just as violently they were before (wrong as per the rules for "Fear"), while I "hope" the NPC decides to take the damage as crush, but I am never actually sure. Repel ...

Re: warrior / rogue skill trade based on theme
I have seen players and NPCs alike use/respond to Taunt exactly as Josh described. It's hugely misunderstood just like "Fear", and "Repel". Fear is always responded to with running away in abject terror, which in only suggested in the roleplaying notes for the skill as a possible...

Re: Advanced warrior swap out skills
I know people will completely disagree, but I don't think warriors need much help. They are already combat gods when it comes to dishing out and giving punishment. The swap out skills might not be awesome for raw damage, and a good number of them are stupidly worded/horrible in effect, but the upsid...

Re: Updates and changes for 2014
The problem is the balance of how much you can accomplish behind the scenes versus in-game. Took me two event worth of research just to find a cost for tools and knowledge for a holding, because I wasn't told that I did it in the right order/left out a step until after the first research request, so...

Re: Updates and changes for 2014
There is no need to restrict territory and holding management to skill-only. I'm already going to have to hash things out as Marcus at some point in-game at Winterhaven, because evidently, my holding was taken out from under me over the winter with absolutely no knowledge on my part, because "s...

Re: Updates and changes for 2014
Though it is a bummer for characters who had finally hit that point by the end of last year. I thought that while personal upkeep had disappeared, that all in-game goods would go up in price accordingly? Supposedly as I understood it there would be no mechanical change, because while players no long...

Uhh....Freudian slip when trying to write Valken'Vi? Appropriate, nonetheless. The taxes in abaddobville will be reasonable. For valium vi. Except on days that end in y.

Re: Final Haven changes for 2014
I have come to a point where I am "mostly comfortable" with such a time-gap, but I am still absolutely leery of so many players creating stories in an absolute vacuum. I can't even begin to imagine the anxiety I feel at how many things I will attempt but I won't be able to because "so...

Re: FH Political changes 2014
The biggest thing is that 80% of the economic system exists off-paper, or is at least very hard to access for many of the players. Also, mechanics for the system should not be getting invented or tweaked at check-out. To the layman the economic system seems very non-transparent in how the rules work...

I haven't had that problem, but probably 'cause I'm not a spammer like you.
