:as the keep door opens, rothek dugs his claws into the ground as if getting into position to pounce, but right as he was about to leap and tear into elf flesh.... rothek heard the white man's voice and his ears perked back up from his head, he stopped growling and crawled over towards him. as dallid spoke to him he looked up at him and then at the crowd scanning over each of them with big yellow eyes.

what everyone at the gate saw as the door opened, crouched at dallid's side, was large wolf beast man, large enough to if had he stood up on his hind legs the beast would probably reach a height of six feet. The brown hair that covered the most of his body was coarse and in someplace's matted, also there were places in random locations that those versed in the ways of magic would recognize these as blast scars. the last and most obvious thing was manacles with a broken bit of chain hanging from both wrists and ankles with markings adorning the sides of them. an insignia of sorts, a chain collar with a padlock hung from the beasts neck as well.

Aurora stepped in to the keep first and as she stuck her hand out, rothek brought his head forward but hesitated and shot a look at dallid before he began to sniff her, she smelled as the woods did and this also helped to calm him, looking back at her the beast nodded as if in approval. her companion also smell of the woods and trees so rothek gave a nod to Galen as well.

next his attention came to brey, this one made many loud noises and had very odd clothing bright clothing, he was too tall to be a Guthrie, seeing that they also were very loud, but they were more high pitched squeaks more than anything so that wasn't it.

rothek's brow lightened as his eyes came across Cariel, another of his kind! though still only a cub, rothek let out a sort of welcoming chuff and pawed the ground as if to beckon her in. this levity was short lived as rothek's eyes stared through Gil-Galad. rothek rose to his hind legs and a low guttural growl as the beast turned to Dallid, pointed at Gil with a clawed hand and spoke three words in a rough beastial voice.

"Elf. Not. Friend."

As Rothek stood, Cariel raised herself to her not-so-impressive height and wagged her tail. The young girl opened her mouth to speak until she caught the hostility in the older beastman's eyes.

Flattening her ears against her head, Cariel stepped between Rothek and Gil-Galad, bright yellow eyes flashing. A protective growl eminated from her, focused on Rothek and she reached behind her to touch Gil's arm.

*Aurora hears the beast and looks at Dallid*

Apparently this creature isn't fond of elves Dallid, or perhaps this one. I don't know.

Considering the Prince Consort...I believe is the political term....is well an elf, I think keeping him here would be a bad idea because until he knows the difference between whatever elves left those marks on him and shackled him and the ones like again Atreus we call friend, this creature might attack not knowing the difference.

*Aurora looks a Galen and sighs*

The elves in their quest for power did a lot of damage. Some people and races are going to take some time to heal. If I had been put in chains and blasted with magical energy as this thing has been, heck I'd be hostile and have a thing about the race as a whole.

*Looks at Gil*

I believe until Dallid can escort this thing out of the keep, I'd recommend going down the Korrigan's for like an hour or so. That will give Dallid enough time to calm the best down so we can bring some calm to this situation.

Brey turns to Dallid with a light chuckle

"Well that should be evidence enough for you Dallid as you were approaching you saw for yourself he was in the process of pouncing on a man for being an Elf."

Dallid nods and sighs. “The Elves of the Old King made many enemies, we need not look far to find one.”

He points to Gil-Galad. “THAT Elf…” Then at one of Rothek’s blast scars. “NOT do THIS!”

He points again to Gil-Galad. “THAT Elf…” Then at Rothek’s manacles. “NOT do THIS!”

“THAT Elf… IS… a friend.”

Dallid then turns back to Gil-Galad. “I would ask something of you to help resolve this situation. Please empty your hands and sit upon the ground.”

*reluctantly, Gil-Galad sheathed his blade*

"I pray in my heart you know what you are doing, Dallid. Or at least that you're good friends with a powerful empath..."

*he slowly sits down, and waits calmly*

*Aurora observes Dallid with the creature to see if Dallid is able to get the creature calmer with the elf present before she says something further. Galen will notice a slight shift in her stance, takes a deep breath and narrows her green eyes in on the creature.*

Dallid, this creature has been tortured, magically tortured. There are the obvious fresh burns of some sort of blasting spell like fire or something and it's been done for quite some time. From what I can tell by taking a closer look at him from even here, not only was he shackeled but held down with some sort of binding magic like a root or what have you.

If you look closely at those shackles Dallid, I see some sort of insignia. Could be elven see how much he doesn't like the sent of Gil over there, I'm not sure. What I can tell you is that it's not draconic. If we can get those things eventually off the creature perhaps a sage or more of a linguist then i can recognize the markings.

I am sort of curious if it's magic that is keeping those restraints on him....

Dallid gives Gil-Galad a slight smile. "Trust it will not come to that. Thank you."

He then turns back to Rothek while pointing again at Gil-Galad with a hand now glowing with power. "Go to him. Take his scent. You will find not the hatred, malice, nor cruelty you experienced in the past. You will find better things."

He looks briefly toward Aurora. "Agreed. When we're through here, those manacles require a closer inspection."

:rothek watched dallid as he tried to explain Gil-Galad's innocence, he turned to look at the elf but was surprised when he saw Cariel standing in front of him in a protective way.

his eyes met the cubs yellow eyes, then still on his hind legs rothek slowly took a few steps toward Gil-Galad and began to investigate and smell, the beasts ears flicked a few times as he carefully inspected him, after a few minutes of sniffing rothek brought his head up and stared directly into Gil's eyes. After a few more minutes rothek walked back over to dallid:

"him. is. friend."

:rothek said reluctantly:

The energy in Dallid's hand disipates, falling like mist into the ground.

"Good. Many Elves here. Most friends. If Elf not fight you or friends, then you not fight Elf. Yes?"

*Aurora looks over at Korrigan*

Got anything on you I could take a sip of? *She grins* I believe you know what I mean.

*Korrigan, looking slightly concerned, watches the events transpire. When the beast seems to accept the elf as a friend, the concern leaves his face.*

"Good form, Dallid. Your reputation as a peacemaker is well-deserved."

*Nodding to Aurora, Korrigan produces a flask from his jacket.*

"Of course, Aurora. Take a swig and pass it around. It looks like we're all friends here."

*Turning to Dallid and the beast, Korrigan picks up a small stick. He gestures at his wrists and ankles, points at the manacles on the beast's wrists and ankles, and breaks the stick.*

"If you'd like to be rid of those things, my furry friend, just let me know."

*Aurora takes a swig off the flasks and then hands it over to Galen. She looks at Korrigan, Dallid, and the creature.*

Actually I believe I can remove those and I mean the normal way being that I have a little knowlege at being a craftsman. I think I see a few places if I it them with my repair tools just right I can get him out of those shackles.

*Gil-Galad stands, and retrieves his gear*

"Well, I'll be damned. Thank you, everyone. I believe I will continue on to the keep. It's rather chilled out here, and I sense a storm coming."

*he bows to each in turn, and beckons Cariel to follow.*

:rothek let Gil pass and then turned to Cariel, he began to sniff and inspect her as he did the elf however he was much more gentle and he gave another chuff in approval as he looked her over.

rothek then turned to face dallid as he spoke again, looked around then, nodded again:

"not eat white man's elves, only eat elves that hurt... only eat elves that kill"

:rothek shook and the snow that had been gathering on his fur scattered everywhere:
