"Were good Trusk, Just trying to figure out who is going to Haven to check out the elves, who's going with Esmerelda to check on the Woodhold army, and who's fortifying the town. Is there one of these things you wanted to help out with Trusk?"

The Queen of Briars nods at Zeira, obviously pleased by his exclamation.
At Virgil's suggestion of shortening her name, she looks somewhat disturbed, but tosses her hair and nods. "I suppose I should be glad you asked, anyway. Call me what you must." She nods towards Mortimer and raises her eyebrows. "Most others do."
The Queen of Briars claps her hands appreciatively at Rhul's comment, turning away from Mortimer for a moment. "Oh, I think he is far too merry to be the comedian. Surely we can find him some bells and tassels?"
She taps a finger against her chin. "Really though, a group of non-elves might find it easier to enter the area AS entertainers. Unless you're just looking at a quick sneaky-peeky and out again, in which case, you only want the sneaky ones going. Preferably those of a nondescript quality."
She looks back towards Mortimer over her shoulder. "And nondescript, I am not." She raises her arms in the air as if stretching and grins as her tail brushes against him and does...something naughty. "Look ma, no hands!"

That is true, and something that is on my mind even thought I would like to help. I can be quite stealthy when the situation calls for it, but in enemy territory I could easily see myself standing out in the mind of any observers. As much as I wish to give my aid, I don't wish my very presence to be a hindrance to the mission.
*turns to Esmerelda*
Perhaps you would like some accompanyment as an envoy to the Woodhold forces? It would mean a great deal to me to accomplish something for the greater good without the need for violence for a change. The mind over the bicep, you might say.

"Actually, I think performers might be perfect. We have a The Beatufiful Azra who can do trick shots. The Amazing Ape, who can perform feats of strength and agility. Malachi can be our announcer. I can do some fire breathing. Mortimer and Virgil can be our jesters. Too outlandish or just so crazy it just might work?"
*Azra blushes a bit at Zeira's comment, but then looks about the group*
I think Zeira and Rhul have goog points... Traveling people, performers, might be able to get past the elves without causing alarm. I know the elves have always had a rather friendly relationshp with the Sylvani people. I don't know if that's changed in the past few years... But it could be worth a shot, couldn't it?

Mortimer spits out the drink he was downing when the tail...does its thing. "I must be drunk enough. This plan is starting to sound good. I better get some shut eye before we head out in the morning."
Mortimer gets up and heads toward the door but pauses before getting there, turns, and says, "Well, you coming fluffy?"

Esmerelda smiles at Trusk. "I will be honored to have you accompany me to meet with the survivors of Woodhold. While not as dangerous as scouting the lands the elves themselves hold, it still will be going dangerously close to them. But this is something I need to do. I was known at Roderick's court and perhaps have the best chance of convincing them to throw their support behind us. Rhul, I would most certainly welcome you to come with me as well if you do not wish to partake in the shenanegans that this party seems bent on pursuing." She gestures with her hand to Mortimer, Azra and Zeira.
Turning to the group that will go with Robert, she studies them seriously for a moment. When she speaks again, it is with the accent of the Sylvani. Few present remember that this is how she spoke when she and Aeric first arrived in Haven. "Have a care with what you plan. Travelling performers are not the Sylvani. While yes, they can be performers at times, the elves leave them alone for other reasons. The Sylvani have protections most people do not fathom nor understand. Just because they do not fight their battle with weapons does not mean they are a weak enemy. The elves understand this, while it seems that so many humans have trouble with that concept."
"I would not want you to expect that the elves' attitude towards the Sylvani was based merely on their entertainment value. And this group could not masquerade as Sylvani. I only tell you this so you will have a care. I don't want to have to send a rescue party after you in a few moons!"

The Queen of Briars follows Mortimer. "We'll see, won't we?" She says with a sideways grin.

*Azra turns to Esmerelda apologetically*
Now, I understand that I have not know that way of life since I was a small child, and have lost touch, I do remember the friendship my mother shared with the elves. I always thought they held us in the same way. It wasn't because of fear, but a mutual respect for the same passions.
Some people valued us strictly for entertainmet. *She said this with a look of disgust* But those people are no longer a part of my life either.
*She turns back to Zeira* But Esmerelda does have a point. My thought was foolish. I had other intentions, that clouded my judgement as to what is better for my new family. *With that, she smiles at all those she has known since coming to far reach*
