The desk itself empty, the room literally devoid of anything of note, Ian arrives back in the main room. Latham smiles again to he and Shale and says, "The scouting parties are bound to be back soon. Don't mistake my anxiousness for you to leave as being sinister or rude or unhospitable. I simply recognize that these pieces are the priority here. I have faith in the magics that I will be safe. You should go see if your services are needed. From what I have seen this day, you are too valuable to waste time here." Again, he awaits a response...

*looks at Shale* "Well the room is clean, nothing I can find special about it."

*Bows to Latham* " Once again thank you for your hospitality, I hope you were not offended by our rudeneness, but in these dark times you must understand we cannot take anything for granted.. I do not know much of this prophecy we are attempting to foil, but I am glad that there are people such as yourselves willing to risk themselves to help us. I do hope we meet again."

*With that unless Shale says otherwise, Ian will wait for Shale to leave and then follow him out*

Latham shakes his head and says simlpy, "Not offended at all. It's good to see the level of caution you all are displaying around this issue. It eases my mind a bit."

Shale nods to Ian seeming to have reservations about the situation. "Latham, You wanted our help escorting you here. When your research is finished if we go who will bring you back safely? Do you have a means of contacting or signaling us? Do you have the spells to create a sending circle we could bring you through?"

Latham considers Shale's words for a few moments and then nods in agreement. "Perhaps you're right. A Sending Circle is perhaps the safest. Shall we agree on the first day of the new month, sometime that night? If perchance I still have work to do I will bring it with me and can find a nook in your guild hall to continue working. Is this agreeable?"

Shale nods, "Indeed. Then we shall be waiting for you. Lets go Ian." Shale gathers his things and steps to the doorway. "Thank you for your help Latham, and good luck for all our sakes." He turns and steps out heading for the ladder back down to Donovan.

*Donovan glances up as he hears Shale and Ian coming down the ladder.*

"All is well?"

Shale nods to Donovan, "All seems well as to be expected. Was a little wierd not turning a corner and being stabbed in the back for once, but we should bet back to haven as quickly as possible. We'll fill you in on the specific details as we walk the path back. Right Sir?" Shale steps past Donovan and starts heading back the way of Haven expecting the guys to follow.

"Excellent, but hold on a second Shale. Ian will take point, you can brief me and help Nayla safe on the way."

*As soon as they get into formation, the group begins the trek back to Haven.*

Shale nods and lets Ian walk ahead. "Yessir!" He walks back and takes his place by Donovan and the girl's side searching in his bag for some refeshment.

And then the strangest thing ever happened in the land of Haven--the trip home was uneventful. Feel free to return whenever you wish.
