*Vir-Drake says to Ravinal*
"My kind isn't trusted here. You get the girl to safty"
*Vir-Drake yells out*
"Phoenix! To arms!"
*Vir-Drake then rushes forth with McEwan both swords drawn, stoping before the group of men*
"My name is Drake. I am Captin of the Azure Sheild company within The Phoenix Guard. Stand your ground and state your business with this women."
*Vir-Drake then waits for an answer*

*Annika, who has been sleeping poorly all evening, wakes up simultaneously as Donmayo shakes her awake so that she might see what is happening. Annika jumps up and tries to gather her bearings and when she sees the woman running forth, she shouts,* "This is one of them..." *and starts running for the woman.*
*The woman runs forth with her bundle straight into the camp screaming for help. Before she is within reach of any of the Havenites, one of her pursuers stops and quickly shoots and arrow, which hits her soundly in the back and the woman dives forward to the ground. Annika looks from the woman to her bundle and her eyes widen. To any who might take note of the bundle, it appears to be a turquoise blue material with some strips of yeti fur. Annika jumps on top of the woman careful not to drive the arrow sticking out of the woman's back further in and careful to avoid landing on top of the cloth that the woman has carried in.*
*Before anyone can stop him, McEwan tears through the group of men pursuing the woman, and in a near berserker rage fells the first man he comes to in two quick, bloody chops. None of the men appear to hear Vir-Drake as they are all occupied with McEwan, except one who has run past McEwan towards Annika and the woman, his axe raised high in preparation to hit one or both of the women.*

*After rising to investigate the screams, Donovan stops in his tracks when Annika identifies the woman and her attackers as dreams. He returns to the fire and watches the events unfold. *
"Once again, The Phoenix are ordered not to engage the spirits under any circumstances. "

One should rather die than be betrayed. There is no deceit in death. It delivers precisely what it has promised. Betrayal, though ... betrayal is the willful slaughter of hope.
As the arrow strikes the woman down McEwan lets out a ferral howl of rage. All thoughts of defence behind him, the shield in his left hand becomes another weapon seeking joints and bashing away defences as the axe in his right blurs into streamers of silver and crimson in the night. To those watching (perhaps it is a trick of the light) the spectral form of a badger appears to super-impose itself over the low form of the dwarf as he spins amongst the attackers in a wild, grusome dance of rage and death
Ignorance can be fixed...stupid you're stuck with

*Neshca Looks up and clap to the dance the McEwan is doing*
"McEwan remember leave something for wolves they get mean when you do not. "
*Pick up his sword and shield stroll out to watch McEwans Back. if anyone get near him for a flanking attack Neshca step right in front of them with a defence stance. But he give McEwan a good lead on his rampaging rage.*

*After about a minute of fighting, the first man that McEwan felled dissipates into thin air; a few moments later the woman that Annika laid over top of does the same, leaving the bundle near Annika. Annika scoops up the bundle and lays huddled over it throughout the duration of the fight.*
*Just before Dallid steps up in front of Annika and the woman, one of the pursuers gets a clean and solid hit off on Annika, who lets out a shriek of pain, but continues her protection over the bundle.*
*McEwan continues battling the others but clearly looks as though he is slowing down and taking more damage than he was at the beginning of the fight.*

*Vir-Drake runs into the battle with McEwan, both swords swinging*
"I got your back McEwan."
*Vir-Drake takes on as many as he can handle alone to give McEwan room to move into a good defensive stance with Neshca and himself*
"Form ranks here McEwan. Form ranks"

*McEwan and Vir-Drake continue to fight the remaining four men in their group in a lengthy battle. The last man swings swiftly at McEwan and lands a deft blow sound into McEwan's chest, who coughs out his last breath loudly and slumps forward, falling to the man's blow. Vir-Drake, curses under his breath and whips his weapon around cleanly decapitating the last man in his group.*
*In the meanwhile, the straggler who went first after the woman and then after Annika continues to swing at her, although most of his blows are deflected by Dallid's shield. The man does, however, land one more blow on Annika's back and she also slumps forward. The man reaches forward and grabs at the turquoise material yanking it toward him unraveling down to reveal a familiar looking cloak. Pleased at having retrieved the cloak the man turns to run off, but he jerks his head back to see what rolled out of the bundle. There lieing next to Annika, an infant lays quietly with his eyes open looking to her.*

*Standing off at one side, shortswords sheathed and is simply appearing to be absolutely void of any of the wise-cracking good humor. There is no emotion across her face and she continues to appear to not be sleeping or eating much. After all dies down she takes a position near a fire, bundles up in a blanket and keeps an eye on things.*
Dead pirate betrayed by Corbyn...ah well least I made him do his own dirty work when he killed me.
*The man does indeed go after the infant child and Dallid steps in. At first, Dallid is purely defensive in his maneuvers, but when it seems that the attacker will not relent, Dallid strikes the man down with his weapon.*
*In the meanwhile, McEwan's body does appear to respond to Donovan's touch and the wounds are healed in time.*
*After felling the attacker, Dallid begins examining the infant, who first lets out a small cry and then begins crying in the typical sing song incessant way that most infants do. Upon the inspection of the healer, Dallid finds that this baby is also like the others. While not ethereal, it's corporeal representation is just that... a vision. Dallid is able to touch and lift the child, if he so chooses.*
