*Ian watches all this transpire*

Interesting.. it is almost as if the earth itself was giving birth to her...Very strange indeed..

*Donovan heals any additional wounds the woman may have, making sure she is in good health. He dresses her in his cloak and surcoat, using a bit of rope to belt them around her. He then turns to Shale.*

"Shale, be ready to put her back to sleep if she's too violent. I'm going to try to calm her, but just in case..."

*Once Shale is in ready and in position, Donovan kneels next to the girl and places his hand on her forehead.*

"Awaken."

Shale looks at Donovan pale and shaken from having channeled his life force into the girl. As he touches her Shale tried to focus his power into another Sleep charge not sure how much strength he has left.

The woman's eyes open and she blinks free additional tears, further moistening her cheeks, but she appears more calm and smiles slightly when she wiggles her fingers and toes. "Thank-you for what you have done, but now what do I do?" She looks confused and a little scared but at least for now the tears have stopped flowing.

*looking at the woman and giving a quick bow*

Good day Milady, my name is Ian, my companions are Donovan *points to the one holding her* and Shale *points again*.. if I may be so bold as to ask your name and perhaps how you came to this predicament?

The girl looks up at Ian and says, "My name is Nayla. This all just started happening, I don't know why. I had eben feeling under the weather for a while but I thought it was just a bit of the sniffles. I was just on my way home from a walk when...this happened."

*Donovan offers his waterskin to Nayla and produces a bit of bread and cheese from his pack.*

"If you don't mind Nayla, I have a few questions for you as well. Where is home? Did you encounter anything unusual in the last few days? Did you eat or drink anything unusual? It may be important that you remember even the slightest detail, so take your time and think about it."

*Looking more warm and comforting than he has in quite some time, Donovan waits for her response.*

"I live down in the village by Haven...I don't think I ate or drank anything unusual...well, unless you count that medicine I took for the sniffles...nah, but that was days ago and it didn't seem to work at all."

Shale stares at the girl obviously drained from his magics, but his face twinges with a scoul at her attesting to have no idea what happened. This effect was due to alchemy, and rarely does someone injest a transformation potion without any idea they are doing it, for better or worse, willing or not...

*Donovan extends a hand to Shale, grasping his forearm and healing his weakened life-force.*

"Nayla, where did you get the medicine that you took for the sniffles?"

Nayla looks up at Donovan and smiles politely when answering, "Why I got it from...what I mean is, the person who gave it to me was...that's funny...I don't remember who it was...only that it was given to me for the sniffles and that I took it..." A look of fear descends upon her face when she realizes this gap in her memory.

*looking at Nayla with a look of sympathy*

Tis ok, Miss.. memory loss is not unusal when dealing with alchemical and magical things.. I myself still have a few gaps in my memory since the world changed.. do not fret.. I am sure with time all will become clear again.

*Looks at Donovan and Shale*

I believe we should be moving on if the Lady here is up to it.. we must get Latham back to his place and get ourselves back to Haven.

"Agreed. Ian, take point. Shale, you Latham and Nayla go next. I'll play rearguard. Let's move."

*If Nayla cannot walk, Donovan will carry her.*

In case the description was unclear, Nayla is covered in the thorny vines and it was the bleeding vines that were healed upon her body. She can however get up with some help and walk. AS she does so, the vines almost appear to meld better with her flesh and becomes almost form-fitting. While it appears uncomfortable for her, it is also quite a bit better than the pain she had previously felt.

The journey lasts merely another 20 minutes, very uneventful, especially compared to Nayla's predicament. The party arrives at long last in front of a rather large tree. No home or structure of any kind is visible, but Latham turns nonetheless and with a smile says simply, "Thank-you for seeing me home. I will come back as soon as I know more. I promise I will continue to work tirelessly until my work has finished." He waits there to see if there is anything else that is needed from him...

*Donovan looks at the tree and raises an eyebrow. He then looks back at Latham, back at the tree, and finally back at Latham once again.*

"Home, Latham? You live in a tree? Where are the other members of your order?"
