I am me, except for when I am not, then I'm not me, I'm him. Then again when I am not me, who is me?

Schweet Sheo, thanks!

Here's the greatcoat:

With the strap-on legs under it and my chain helm, would that be full medium?

I dont consider coats to be anything over light armor. I hate to even count them as that.

Hmmmm.....Then it's probably a good thing we all get on one page with armor. I've been breaking the rules for whole six months I have been playing, even though everytime it's been okayed.

And actually, the greatcoat idea came from the Iron Kingdoms D20 I play. In their armory you can have padded greatcoats and reinforced greatcoats, both of which counts as differeing types of armor you can wear over other armor.

The D20 rules that gave me the idea that I based the 'fake' armor on:

Greatcoat: Heavy leather/cloth, +1 armor when over other Light armors

Armored Greatcoat: has chainmail sewn inside, +2 armor and DR5/ Bludgeoning

Reinforced Greatcoat: extra padded, boiled leather guards added to vital portions. Gives +1 armor (as normal greatcoat) and DR3/ slashing/ piercing

If my greatcoat literally has one of the above (something I can do), can I count it as adding to my arms/legs coverage?

you weren't breaking rules, you were doing what you were told until you could make better armor, and you did.

So Atrum's armor shouldn't be full light, even though I have everything covered except my head, groin and posterior.

It may be only "light" but I'd rather be in any of the medium I've ever seen on a hot summer day.

I consider yours light because you have your legs covered in leather. Your jacket is just covering your uper body. I should qualify my above statement. I dont like giving LONG coats (duster, trench, etc) full light on the merits of the coat alone. I dont mind one or two locations.
