Monk and Brawler

Post by Kalphoenix »

Just a few questions when I was going through the handbook and if these have been answered previously, I appologise (I only went back about two pages):

At first glance, Brawler seems to be the "savage" accessable version of Monk. However, Brawler has no armor restrictions, while monk is restricted to medium. Is this because of the difference in their 3rd and 4th level abilities, or is Brawler supposed to actually be restricted to medium armor as well?

Also, both classes have "iron fists" at level 2, however, the Brawler's says: "The Brawler may now block melee weapons with his fists (as a weapon)."

The Monk's says ""The Monk may now block melee weapons with his fists (as a weapon). You can also dual wield a short-sized weapon and a fist."

May the brawler also dual wield a short-sized weapon and a fist, or is this unique to the Monk?

I just wondered if these were oversights or if they are intentional.

Crap! Missed the armor restriction on Monk! :(

I won't be changing Slisk's costuming, but his soak just dropped a great deal.

What about the difference in their Iron fist abilities (level 2)? Is that intentional?

yes. Maybe we need to change the name of the skill to alleviate any confusion
