Yeah, Back-ups. Where was this information yesterday?

Ok, bad news folks. Got the PC back up and running. But.. The entire file folder (and its contents) apparently do not exist anymore. Dont know if they flash fried or what, but there gone. Possibly because they were open at the time of crash, maybe I should look into an upS too.

I have an older set that I'm stripping down to the bone, it wont be flowery, but it should serve.

Sorry~

PS: UPS's are GREAT.

PSS: UPS's won't protect you against a surge through your phone line. Though you can get a Surge Protector (and perhaps a UPS?) that will have a spot to protect your phone line, remember that it is just basically a surge protector for your phone line and not a UPS for the phone line.

Does it really make sense to try and do a half ass job before the event? Playing off the old rules makes more sense than no one having any idea what the new ones are or if they are right as they were written too quickly. Having a proper understanding of the rules is a lot more important than us trying to decipher what you mean (with zero editing, the book is going to be littered with em).

Just make the rules for the event after this one.

The newer UPS's have phone line input and output, we have a couple here at work that we use for our DSL. There are also surge protectors, the strip kind that have phone in\out as well.

It's still just a surge protector on the phone side. Sending power to a disconnected phone line would give you a fake dial tone but no ability to dial.
