A Soft Glow in the Hills

[General Maximus]

After a couple long days of rain the weather clears into a clear night with no moon. As the night sky becomes dark a soft blue light is seen from some close by hills.

[Nelkie]

*Arthos stiffly walks out of the Inn wrapped in a cloak. He moves as an old man and his cough seems to be getting worse*

Are my eye's playing tricks or is there something glowing up over the those hills (Points a gloved hand to the spot where the glow is coming from). Hmmm.. Maybe some of us should investigate. It does not look to be a natural light made by a fire. Maybe it is magical in nature?

Who would like to join me to see what it is?

[moonstone]

"Well i will go with you if you need some help." after looking around to see who was talking Arthos looks down and see Solvanya. " would you like me to go with you." she said this with a large friendly smile.

[Nelkie]

*Arthos looks down and a ghost of smile is seen in the hood of the cloak*

*Looks at Arthos*

You're goin' to need a scout. Think I know of one off the top of my head.

*She grins mischeviously*

[moonstone]

we should find some more people to go with us.

[Gin]

* Cap Gin hears Kidwynns voice from the inn and leaves to investigate. *

"So, are we adventureing?

I can help if you have need."


* Looking at Kidwynn he says *

" You look happy. Whats up?"

* Looks at the light puzzled *

[Kidwynn]

*Looks at Gin*

If ya want ta go that would be good. Gives us a chance to talk more and all.

Happy? You think I look happy luv?

[Gin]

* Gin looks at her quizzically. *

“ No offence meant. Guess I just interpreted you wrong. “

* Smiles at her now. *

“ I’m happy, and happy to help. Unless I die. Than I might feel differently.
So what do we do?”

* looks at the assembled for an answer. *

[Nelkie]

Shall we go invesitgate. We should be close enough to town to call for additonal help if we run into danager. Lets head out and see whats going on.

*Arthos slowly walks into the hills to investigate the light*

[General Maximus]

As the group approachs the hills, the light grows brighter. The light seems to pulse as if it was alive. As the group approachs the light with caution the source of the light comes into view.

The group views the top of a very large blue glowing crystal embedded in the hill side. The group see's a portion of the hill side broken away in a mud slide. It is evident the last rains caused a mud slide, expossing the top of the crystal.

[Kidwynn]

*Looks at at the group*

Ok, can anyone detect anythin' of that magical stuff about this thing? I think whatever we do breakin' the crystal is not an option.

[moonstone]

As the light begins to palls softly the small figure of Solvanya slowly approaches is with her face to the sky she closes her eyes. “Give me a moment and I will see if I sense any magic.”

[General Maximus]

As moonstone concentrates the crystal starts to pulse even faster. It seems to react to the use of moonstones ability.

After investigating the crystal, the group can tell the crystal is large and only a portion is of it is showing. The group estimates the crystal is a little larger than a person.

After some more dirt is removed a dark figure can be seen inside the crystal. The figure seems to be humaniod and fills most of the crystal. The figure seems to be holding a shield, maybe a weapon. The group finds it diffuclt to desern any more detials with only a small portioin of the crystal showing.

*Moving very shakely Arthos approach the cystal and start to chant. (casting a light spell). He is trying to look inside the cystal and see what is truely in side*
