Ok Phoenix Guard members who are in my 7th Sea game... we're keeping the option open of running next session at Silverleaf as a demo. Pass the info along to other members of the game and lemme know what the general response is.

I spoke to Kelse a few minutes ago and he's game... so is Donovan and Clambake... er Lambik, but there may be some issues regarding children underfoot.

What say youse?

And what about those that do not play in the 7th Sea game? Name Calling? Pointing? Death?

3 times a day! The chaffing must be aweful.

My guess is you should go with death. At that pace you wont live long anyway.

Ka, you do nothing but disappoint me. :)

Todd, as Curufin explained to me, the key to avoiding excessive chafing is to be equally proficient with both hands.

Vince, what about those of us that have to use both hands to steady it to begin with? Is there any hope for us?!?!

Hell yes there is hope! If your sword requires two hands just to steady it  , I can't believe you would have any difficulty finding someone to assist you in wielding it. At this point it is no longer a sparring session, but a duel. Whatever the term, the important thing is making sure you get enough practice, so that you are prepared for the big 'battle', or if you are really lucky, the 'mass combat'. So sayeth the sacred texts of the elves.

Does a duel require two swords? Or are two people allowed to share a sword? I'm just thinking that those without swords might want practice using one too.

Well, I can't speak for the moo-cow folk, but with the elves, any combat involving two people is considered a duel, even if only one is armed. I agree that those without swords should have some practice...if only there were outlets and batteries to power the practice weapons. Hmm, that might be a good enough reason to upset the balance of time again.
