Keeping the feelings alive....

Post by Wyrmwrath »

I was wondering ...since the FH schedule avoids January/Febuary dates cause its cold as hell with no power and erratic heat at the camps as well as the holidays being a seires of obstacles for everyone trying to do the gaming thing....

What is the general opinion of a possible one day/evening; tavern based; murder mystery style event be. Held inside, say 4 pm to 4 am ish. Plot handled in a non-combat environment, but set up sp that everyone could be thier PC and participate?

I have a few ideas for locations, and if the response is sufficient I would be willing to lay out the idea to the plot guys, find a locale to do it, and help em run the thing. Think in game new years feast as your PC in a tavern that suppresses your ability to be hostile/ or where you have no weapons.

I like the idea. I think it would be cool to start at around 1PM with a LARP garage sale/ Swap meet to get rid of some old junk and aquire some new junk. Then, around 4PM we can do a pseudo game on and get the plot rolling around 5PM. I am willing to help write it and help run it.

Well Wayne,
I have to shake my pom-poms for the swap meet idea too, way to use the grey matter.

When you and the other GMs wish to get together to discuss it further shoot me a flaming arrow. Maybee next weekend if you arent headed to the great white north for family stuff.

There once was a man named Eli,
A man who claimed he could not die.
But one thing makes him wail:
That's when there is no ALE!
Thus his tale: with no beer, he will cry.

*grin* Brian... get out of my brain... cause Wayne and I were talking about JUST that idea the other day!

Sounds perfect, I'm SO there.

Hey, if my karma puts the event on a weekend I'm not working, I'm for it. I'm so much more an RP guy than a physical combat guy. Give me a time and a place and I'll try to make it.

Have the GMs talked about this at all anymore/recently?

I am still willing to participate in whatever capacity is desired, but what that capacity would be has to come from the great lidless eye we call the GM staff.

I really dont see this happening. The problem is my time is really just gone with an out of town GF. That said I assume Todd is not much better off leaving Wayne and Mike and I know Mike is busy finishing up his PHD.

In our spare time all we work on is FH rules and organizaton.

I would encourage the players if this is something they want to definitly get together just make sure you dont coincide with CARPS. I know they have a get together planned and well that just seems like a cool thing to attend.
