FHRP - Call for Authors: The Races of Phanterra

The First set of assignments for the new Final Haven Rulebook Project (FHRP) concerns the races of Phanterra. I'll update this thread as the races are assigned to individual authors, but the races we're looking for are as follows:

Racial Write-ups:
• Human
• Ga’Vin
• Aviana
• Tsunotaur
• Dwarf
• Orc
• Guthrie
• Valkyn’Vi
• Elf
• Beastman

The assignment comes in two parts.

Part I – a 1,000 word brief summation of race for use in the character creation section. This summation should include:
• A physical description of both males and females. What do they look like?
• A description of clothing, common mannerisms, and linguistic traits. How do they act?
• A discussion of culture, outlook, worldview and general beliefs. What makes this race distinct?
• A breakdown of common racial attitudes towards each of the other races. What do they think of others?
• Tips for playing a member of that race. How do I play one?

Part II – a 5,000 word write-up for use in the worldbook / lore section. This should include:

• The history of the race, as told by a member of that race.
• A more in-depth exploration of the race’s culture, beliefs and worldview.
• A short story that helps to reveal and personify the race to those with no knowledge of Phanterra.
• A description of pivotal events / people from that race.

Base information should be taken from in-game sources, existing lore, the Final Haven Players Book project forum (http://finalhaven.aforumfree.com/) and personal experience. The deadline for final completion of a race assignment will be May 1st, 2014. Submission of an initial draft is encouraged by April 15th, 2014.

Those interested in participating should reply here or send a PM to GM Taki with the name of the race or races they would like to author. Assignments will be given no later than March 20th, 2014.
