2012 Event Dates

Post by GM-Mike »

Here is everything as it stands today. While I make an attempt to have a week off between WH and FH events, that is not always possible. September is especially busy when you factor in the Irish Music Festival and more important yet, my wife's birthday. our annual one day event/potluck/board game extravaganza is currently tentative but I've listed it below. I will post if that event changes. We are also planning to co-run an event with carps, and by event I mean a drunken sledding party, probably sometime late January. We're looking into sites but possibly Bertha Brock in Ionia for those who like to get nostalgic. We don't anticipate price hikes this year. With that being said, we did consolidate ourselves at Rota-Kiwan. We will be in the Indian Village and the Denso which include both longhouses behind the Indian Village. In five distinct sections, making factions still possible, maximum player capacity is around 80 and then the Denso would fit the NPC staff nicely. So without further ado:

Jan 28 Sledding Party Bertha Brock (Ionia)

Feb 18 One Day Winter Spectacular

May 11-13 Rota Kiwan

July 20-22 Silver Trails

Sep 28-30 Rota Kiwan

Oct 19-21 Rota-Kiwan

The sledding party has officially been added to the calendar for Jan 28th. There will be more details to follow. There may be a small fee to help cover our expenses ($10) and probably a potluck, but like I said, more in the next couple of weeks.

Although I have not gotten any official documentation confirming the one day event, they have cashed my check so I assume we are a go for the 18th.

Hope everyone has a happy new year!

I've assured Todd that I've never had no snow on my birthday which is just a handful of days before that date. Since I made that assurance, there almost certainly will not be any snow to speak of. Since we have rented the site, I assume the gathering will still take place. Sledding may or may not still happen--I can't rule anything out when we're talking about LARPers.
