interrogator/healer combo

The Interrogator discipline states that

The Interrogator can also find out if someone is under the effects of an implanted suggestion. In order to use this portion of the skill, the Interrogator must perform the interrogation skill on the target. While the target is at zero life points, the Interrogator may determine if they have a suggestion implanted. If the Interrogator wishes to
determine who planted the suggestion, the entire interrogation process must be started again from the beginning. Once the target is again at zero life points, the Interrogator may determine who implanted the suggestion.


If a character is also a master Healer, but doesn't yet have the interrogate skill could the torture skill be substituted?

Also, does the determination of an implanted suggestion, and subsequently the source, count as the one honest question, or is this in addition to the one question.

Additionally, can you determine whether or not there is an implanted suggestion, and subsequently the source, if the player chooses to spend a life point and pass out?

No, because you need to be a master interrogator to DO this. it is part of the PLANT SUGGESTION skill, not the interogate skill.

it is one of the questions. and no if they pass out, the rules for passing out still apply.

It should also be noted, that if you can not be tortured, you can not be implanted, because it SPECIFICALLY requires you to be tortured FIRST.

Okay.

Being a separate paragraph at the bottom of the discipline, I wasn't sure if that ability was part of the plant suggestion skill, or if it were just a foot note to the interrogator discipline in general.
