The answer is no. A savage can be an arcane or a privledge person. It does not matter what your back ground or if you can read or write. It all about how you want to roleplay out the casting of you spells.

A point to amend.

You do need a written copy of the spell out of character to cast it, but your character doesn't. So you could say that a savage casts from scrolls with pictograms or tribal runes that don't actually mean anything 'written', or sand art or something if you need to justify the 'spell book' in character.

There's an Alchemist in game who had his "cook book" stolen in game... but it turns out that the character can't read, so there wasn't a book to steal, now was there? ;)

Just an example that a lot of things can be passed down, or figured out through other means than written language. :)

Speaking of spells..I now have a book with spells in it. As I understand it many have changed.

Where do i send the list of the spells Nate has to get updated/corrected descriptions, and find which have been removed.

Also, if there are ones in the book that have been removed, are they replaced with anything or is it just lost?!

thought there was another post on this but couldnt find it.
