Tactics and Sage buff..

Post by Zydana »

Talking to someone about this I assumed something and I was told I shouldn't assume what rules are so here goes. Tell me if I'm correct in what I thought..

A sage has the ability called Tactics..

Tactics
The Sage knows the tactics in battle through study and training gaining 1 point of bonus armor.
This ability stacks with combat reflexes.

now with what I'm thinking, a sage can not use the agument ability to gain 2 more armor points with Tactics alone..

2) If you have combat reflexes you gain 2 armor

The reason you can not use the augment like this is because a sage has Tactics, not Combat Reflexes and the rules state, "if you have combat reflexes.."

In order for a sage to use this augment on themselves, they would need to either mimic combat reflexes or use points to buy it.

Is this correct?

Also.. if it is correct, what happens if the sage no longer is mimicing combat reflexes? Would the buff go away too?

Oh actually yes you can stack them.

All of the abilities the sage gets can be stacked with the corisponding augment skill. That is what makes sages coooooooool
