"Active" Spells

I kinda get what it means when a spell is "active" .. meaning in use. As I'm reading through some of the spells, specifically Deep Pockets and Death Link, the statement of "as long as the skill is active" brings up some questions.
Under what circumstances would these spells become inactive? Is there any reason that they wouldn't last until the end of the event? Is there an outside force that would "deactivate" these spells? I didn't see anything that would make these spells no longer "active" - did I miss something?

Unless it is a Talisman spell, I do not believe there is anything in the book that can "deactivate" an active spell such as Deep Pockets once it is going (except the caster).

That aside, there could be ways that some plot may have to deactivate spells. You may walk into a chamber where all magic ceases to function (as an example) - which would end the spell.

Wouldn't being hit by a disenchant stop any active spells?

unless the spell says otherwise (as Talisman spells do) - No a Disenchant does not stop any active spell.
