Dwarven Man-at-Arms

Post by Arjan »

Would a 3rd level dwarf skill stack with a 3rd lvl Man at Arms skill thereby quadrupling the damage their shield could take before breaking?

Ie. a heavy shield can take 60 points before breaking

Or, would it be a stacking (45 pts) or something like stay at 30 but be immune to shatter? (which would be sweet I go through more shields than anyone else I know. Lol.)

How does this work???

I would say it would be add the +5 strength then double the total.

Or, that it would depend on the order you took the skills as primary and secondary.

Man at arms doubles now. No plus five. Do they stack? No. They need to be worded that way. Nothing stacks unless it says it does. Is it an over sight? Maybe. Discussions are under way.

I think gaining a resist shatter for a LP with say a 10 second "cool down" (just like empath shatter) would not be out of line since, to be a full path & level 3 dwarf/ level 3 man at arms you need to be level 16(15) and essentially give up the 4th level weapon focus or ditch master path (until the PC hits level 90 that is).

Abandoning a level 4 discipline to combat a master path skill seems fair.

How does the man at arms / drarf shield skill work with master crafted shield? is the damage total to beat (15x2=30+1)=31 or (15+1=16x2)=32.

Im guessing 31 but wanted a GM to answer.

With that kind of incentive I will post - 31. It makes the most sense with the current wording of the two skills.

I agree I just wanted a ruling in case it came up during an event.

I will now delete the Rush Limbaugh pics.
