Our baby boy!

Post by Midnight »

Stephen and I are very proud to welcome our son, Alexander, into the world. He was born on April 7th at 9:14am, at 6 pounds 2 ounces, and measured 18 1/4 inches long. Thanks to all of you who have kept us in your thoughts!

Well, I was in the hospital for 5 days and he stayed there with me the whole time, so the nurses were a ton of help. But the first week after we got home went pretty well. If you have someone who can come stay and help take care of the house while you focus on the baby for the first week, then do it! My mother in law stayed with us the week I came home, and it was SO much help! It was nice to not have to worry about doing the housework and such. Also, if you have room in your freezer, make up some meals in advance that you can just reheat or pop in the oven (yay cassaroles). That also makes the first week or two a lot easier.

Other then that, don't stress. Just focus on the baby :)

Thanks for the advice, Luckily we will be having more than enough helping hands...hell i might even think they will be a hinderance in my mom, and mother in law pretty much already stating they are gonna live with us for a bit after the baby is born...(c:

The frozen meals is a good tip...ill have to make up some big pots o food and freeze portions!
