Wikapedia and I may be wrong, but I had always heard as a kid, that it was Tolkien that ruined ... uhm ... I mean converted Lewis.

One of my favorite systems that was quite unique was Warhammer Fantasy Role-playing. WHFR had real brutal combat system I went through three characters the first night I played

An awsome system, especialy if you stumbled across a critter tougher than your group. Generally mean everyone was rolling up a new PC, BUT that combat was fun....kinda like the last FH event...LOL.

Somewhat off topic but I did not know that those two knew each other in real life, all I knew is that they were main characters in a book together. Anyone read Here There Be Dragons?
