Re: Haven skill
Mosquito tents are a perfect example of a Haven. It is a phys-rep that clearly represents the location of a Haven. It is also easy to tell if a person is in or out of it. As for the token rule, it, like many other rules, had to be modified from too much cheese. Though it was convenient, it was impos...

Re: Shattering Magic and Exotic Items
It has been decided! Shatter destroys all Weapons (except natural weapons like fists and claws). This includes Magic Weapons, Exotic Weapons and Special Weapons. Shatter destroys all Shields. This includes Heavy, Medium, and Light shields. This includes Magic Shields, Exotic Shields and Special Shie...

Re: Scream clarifications
I'll pipe up here to help with some clarifications. Note that I am but one GM, but a loud one. *grin* Haven states that someone within a Haven is 'free of attack'. This phrase has a few interpretations, not all beneficial. Healing isn't an attack, unless you're undead. Taunt is also considered a 'me...

Re: Shattering Magic and Exotic Items
There has been much back and forth on what can and cannot be shattered. We will talk tonight about it and give you a clearer answer. I do know that Shatter will destroy Weapons, Magic Weapons, Exotic Weapons or anything that is tagged a weapon except natural weapons (like fists and claws). It will a...

Re: 2015 End of Season Tag Turn INs
I noticed that there hasn't been an official reply as of yet. I do apologize for that.
What we have asked players in the past was to put their real name and their character name on the tag when it is turned in. I assume this will work this time as well.

Re: Hero Points and interrupted skills
If I were to use a hero point to reduce the time on a skill of mine, and the charge or time to use the skill is interrupted, do I lose my hero point? These may be used at any time unless your character is dead, including positive life, negative life, poisoned, diseased, slept, etc. The above emphas...

Re: A concern
To address your concern, the second paragraph of the rules set shows our backup plan. Backup Plan We realize that there is a lot of work ahead of us and there’s always the possibility that real life will interfere with our plans. While we are currently on track for an April release, we recognize tha...

Re: Mimicking Sage Skills
If you look under the list of skills that cannot be mimicked, you will find Research. As the Mimic skill can only be used during the game, any 'between events' skills are useless. So, although you can technically mimic them, they grant no benefit. The same can be said for the Investigation, Utilize ...

The following lists are for reference to the Mimic skill questions. I have also included a list of skills that are affected by this particular ruling. (The list of skills that can be 'doubled up') List of skills that can be Mimicked Ambidexterity (Brawler, Monk) Basic Knockout Combat Reflexes Critic...

Re: Mimicking Sage Skills
Honestly, the crux of the matter centers around the definition of the Mimic skill. If you look at the definition from a role-playing perspective then you cannot mimic a skill you already have. If you look at the definition from a mechanical perspective then you can mimic a skill you already have. Le...

Re: winter haven rule change
In related related news, for those that don't know yet, the setting for Final Haven will change this year. We have received very positive feedback about the Haven Chronicles, so we have decided to have the PCs open a rival newspaper. This newspaper will be written entirely by the PCs for their betwe...
