I could see that as a possible fallout of a year-to-year method.
It's simply a bummer that certain heroic parts of my character's backstory never really got moved on and after a time-jump would be 9 years out of date. That's even longer than I have been playing Final Haven!

Re: Final Haven changes for 2014
I totally understand the feel you have for a (sort of) clean slate for new storytelling on your part; one that doesn't necessarily have to be building upon existing storylines to avoid stagnation. (But smack the one who thought of a fifty year jump- I refuse to play a new character because someone e...

That would really be quite interesting and cool, too. Cool idea, Art.

Re: Final Haven changes for 2014
Also, ironically, writing fluff for what we have done for the five years of prosperity and how it integrates our characters upon playing at the first full event of the year? That's only one year less of fluff than what Marcus' backstory entailed for me when I first started playing him 2 years ago- i...

Re: Final Haven changes for 2014
Mike, all I have to ask is that you please be cognizant that some of us are not very good at writing, and have suffered for it (or at least got that as a very strong impression) at both WinterHaven and Finalhaven. Having to create new content just so that we aren't playing along in another player's ...

Re: Final Haven changes for 2014
Well, I am glad that we will have some sort of input as to what our characters will have accomplished over the five year span. Some of us have spent several years TRYING very hard despite our shortcomings to integrate ourselves positively into the Haven setting and NPC populace, with largely no avai...

Marcus looks to the group as they leave.
If you would like my help, I would be happy to go along.

Re: August 2013 Feeback
I had a terribly good time as Marcus this event. Truly the worst part of the event was Monday morning when I had to become Average C.J. again. Though that also probably was partly because I went to bed at 6am on Sunday, with noting more than a patented "One-Hour C.J. Chair-nap". I am glad ...
Re: Aldinoch
*Marcus raises his hands in a placating gesture* Now, first of all, I would want to reiterate that this is all a theory, so please, no one take this as canon. I may simply be far too suspicious of arcane events that I am having a hard time keeping up-to-date upon. But I have to say that if I were a...
Re: Aldinoch
Marcus had come in quietly several minutes ago, but had remained quiet while the rest spoke to each other, first busying himself with cleaning his gear and weapons(though precious little could ever be seen sullying his personal effects- he cleaned them almost compulsively), after which he had moved...

It doesn't look like Dani has posted for us, so consider this as two more people for the full set of meals, possibly with some of the extras tacked on.
Re: Aldinoch
I'm up for it. Sometimes you can't be picky about how you're going to get to a place, if you are pressed for time. We just have to keep our wits about us, and Light willing, we'll get through it. Even in the year and a half I've been back here, and during my time in Witchwood Hold, we have seen some...

Re: A meeting of the Managers
Marcus pats the hand that Illodus placed upon his chest, and smiles comfortingly toward the woman. I remember Eolum, though I guess that I didn't know him all that well. I really only ever spoke to him when he came to the forge to have Torgal repair tools for your house. Maybe once to buy a woodaxe,...

Re: A Knight's Vows.
Actually, Thiseus, I am primarily a Knight of the Order of the Hearthknights. We are a group of Knights Errant who have dedicated ourselves to rebuilding civilization from it's fall in the wake of the cataclysm. The Order you are referring to is the Order of the Silver Stag. For the time being I am ...
