leveling up for the purpose of continuing online

General question:

for continuing adventures online between events, do we stay the same level as we were at the last attended event? or do we participate as though we were leveled up already?

forgive me if this issue has already been addressed..

*poking at some tender scatches and cuts* Dallid... the entire Phoenix Guard was pretty cut up by these things. Is it possible to get your healing assistance? The druid must certainly be behind this.... If his lair was empty then where is he? His vegetary minions are certainly about, and acting with...

*just finishing the climb up* We were all very much asleep when they came in through the door... hmmm.. but they DID come through the door... maybe you could track them back out there... ...I can only imagine you'll find lots of tracks... A band of us went to pay a visit to the Cult of IO after the ...

heh... not really, tho.. on the road to get the herbs saturday morning, (encountering slime and stuff) I got off many shots with prolly 85% accuracy (guessing 22ish of 25ish hits). this was essentially open field combat, no cover. I took shots around others, and never hit a companion. earlier questi...

I'm only saying that being a combat archer in the field and being a one hit assassin are entirely different things... the rules and skills slant toward being a johnnyOnetimer....

HA!... :D sounds like something I'd do.... thing is, I'm not looking for a power bomb. I'm looking to be more effective in combat with a bow. And it doesn't matter that I have these special magic-arrow-true-vorpal-double #$%$ damage skills. The comment that seems to keep coming back after a rant, is...

Agreed: Robert has scenario 4. And who said it takes a while to come to a ruling? ...I have an Idea. In exchange for resources, could I go find a craftsman and have him make me Xbow bolts that do 3 normal damage, instead of 1 vorpal? Arrows were not only for defeating armor. There were even differen...

*Brikal, still clad in bloody sleeping skivvies* aaarrrgh.... eh.... I'm bleedin'.... not to death, but I'm bleedin'... Where's my bolts!? And I'm not entirely sure Donovan was taken alive. He fell shortly before I did... I think he was conscious.... but I couldn't do much before that tree thing put...

my thoughts for redoing the bow point structure: 1. do away with vorpal bow damage. as ryan said, vorpal damage is essentially for pc killing. This in and of itself reduces the deadliness of the bow. 2. Raise the base damage back to 3 for an archer using the bow (any bow, cross or not). Because the ...

'The LARP is the thing...' hmmm... this seems to be turning into an Order of the Phoenix thread.... However: just to be counted.... If any PC can get my crossbow from my cold, dead hands and use it any more effectively than I did, let 'em have it. It was a feat of willpower not to drop my Xbow and g...

The original idea of this thread seems to have faded a bit.. but I do have a comment. I used a Xbow almost exclusively all weekend. I never killed anyone. I barely phased any one creature. It seems a little outlandish to me that 3 vorpal base damage was ruled to be 'way' too powerful in carps. Again...
