Re: 2016 To Do List
-Military system: is this a game of heroes or a game of armies? -investment system and the ways it interacts with the game: if there is no upkeep why do we need a system that's sole function is to bring in boatloads of resources that the game does not need, as a result things start happening to PC's...

Re: Jack of All Trades and Master skills.
jack of all trades cannot by itself learn master skills, it can only learn basic and advanced skill. the term "jack of all trades, master of none" being quite literal here. the way you get around that and attempt to get master skills is using jack of all trades in combination with everyone...

winter nearing its end in Haven
Ark walked through the streets of Redemption, Havens capital city, he looked over the castle Blackwatch and the various shops and houses, the people going here and there. It had come a long way from being nothing more then broken walls and a bloody inn with only a couple dozen people fighting for su...

LOL, I love your rez dialogue, oops it fell back out. XD skill times is dependent on the skill, sometimes its balance, sometimes its arbitrary, etc. some times have gone down yeah, others have gone up (at least since I have been playing :P) scout went up quite a bit, but I think that was REALLY sill...

Re: Captured! (Online Adventure)
^^^ Great idea. I want to thank Brad for running this and being obliging enough to let me get in on it so close to the end. I didn't realize that it was literally the end and would have attempted to join sooner but had not really been keeping up with the boards. though in hindsight it was probably b...

Ark's thread of tough love and abuse: Resurection / Chips
I have often had discussions with the GM's about things like resurrection and healing in FH. if its "fun" or not, if its interactive enough for the healer or boring, if they are healing enough, why it requires two paths to resurrect and not just the healer, etc. etc. (personal opinion, its...

Re: Magus Feedback anf Proposal
oh well that clarification is much better and yeah that's fine, open ended systems are the bane of balanced gameplay. Magus does not require an expenditure, its not a crafting discipline like craftsman or alchemist, and the latter is one of the most broken systems this game has because they are like...

Re: Skill Mastery and Channel
I can assure you its on the list, and I recommend if you have any other comments about anything else within the game to PM Mike (link in my sig) or any of the other GM's with a list of your perceived problems / constructive criticisms / or just opinions on aspects of the game and its rules (the more...

Re: Magus Feedback anf Proposal
Sup Kiel I agree with your assessment and proposal for scrolls, I know a lot of people wanted some kind of scroll system and it gives the GM's a way to introduce interesting one off spells without destroying game balance (like what they started trying to do with the one off magic items) on the other...

Re: Captured! (Online Adventure)
As Morgause comments and saunters by the Man seems to feel one of his ears with a hand, it is indeed an elf ear, and he himself appears to be incredibly pale and has purple eyes, bits of black tribal marking creep out from under his clothes up his neck and onto his hands and he has shoulder length b...

Re: Captured! (Online Adventure)
One of the prisoners within the ritual circle begins to stand up as his chains shatter away into icy pieces, a smile on his face as he was so happy to see the arrival of potential allies. He stood up and looked around, purple white lightning cracked in the air and several cuts opened up as icy weapo...

Re: shatter, armor, weapons, etc.
hmmm, I know there have always been benefits in some form or another for actually phys-reping your armor, I was simply pointing to the fact that I had thought about this and included it in my calculations ^_^ I also don't have a problem with NPC's using claws, after all we fight a lot of monsters th...

evaluation of damage skill altering items/skills/potions
ala channel crystals, curved balanced blade, skill mastery potions, sage time reduction buffs, etc. etc. they provide too much of a bonus that unbalances an in theory balanced system. channel, critical strike, and other charge time = damage skills are designed to be balanced around base damage, as w...

Re: shatter, armor, weapons, etc.
after a bit of deliberation talking with several people about this topic and reports that even NPC/GM monsters are calling blanket resist to shatter and disarm the majority of the time because they too don't like the skills or want to deal with them I have a further point to add on top of those list...

Re: Skill Mastery and Channel
honestly I hate to say this, as I LOVE the way the new channel works, but this is a classic case of lack of retroactive update. this new channel is new, and thus different skills / potions / items do not take its new mechanics into account and TADA you have breaks / exploits. obviously a skill maste...
