Slightly off-topic, slightly-on topic: We were using the Inn as a make-shift "hospital" last WH event, with the wounded running from the battle in town to the Inn when in peril. An npc on his way back from the battle to NPC camp came over to the Inn, and started spawning as Lightning Eleme...

Travis saying that it CAN be delivered by packet answered my question, and made me very happy. I realize they don't have to enter melee with me, but when performing such duties as "protect the healer" it's nice to know I don't have to run right up to the whatever in order to draw its atten...

TAUNT

Does the taunt skill require a melee contact, or can it be issued by way of a spell pack, or simply verbally. It would make most sense to me to be of the latter two, as you don't need to be directly next to someone to taunt them. I can easily see someone sending a jeering comment across the room tha...

It's under the section where is talks about general things every PC can do. It's a one minute process, and it takes 5 to wriggle free. The Hero binding would be for regular binding, not inescapable, but if you consider that you bind their hands and feet (thouroughly incapasitating them) you could st...

I've never seen "healing" as putting band-aids on...if I have 6 life and I'm healed for 5 of it in 4 min then it is WAY more than applying direct pressure, and elevating the open wound...It's own kind of "magic". That's exactly how the 'Princess' was performing her healing thoug...

I like the idea of an additive (or subtractive if you look at it that way) property of multiple PCs with the same skill. Examples: -Multiple Empaths binding the essence together reduce time (or chip draw) -Multiple Healers decrease healing time -Empaths can channel energy together (must all be withi...

The alternative would be having sealed envelopes with all the sage hints at PC camp, and using the honor system. As the honor system is less than perfect, and the GMs cannot anticipate every possible change the PCs force them into making in the plot last minute by their reactions, this system would ...

I inform people they are being bound, and that they are bound. The whole question came up to drive the point that some tasks are obvious, and some (I.E. magic root and magic sleep) are not. It's not like you can just tell someone, "Oh yeah, I've bound you, SURPRISE" I just wish you could t...

I always carry a rope with me, I have a phys rep for that, but the process of binding someone while they sit and chat in the inn, sit to be healed or cleansed, while they're casting...

there go my big plans...darn

I guess I can still use the hero point to instantly bind, then inescapably bind....not nearly as fun as having someone look down and realize they've been bound though.

Charging skills

While I understand the point of holding up a packet when channeling, and evoking some spell verbally while casting arcanum, what about other less obvious skills? -Does a Druid need to visibly hold a spell packet up to charge Root? -What about magic sleep, must it be held aloft during the charge? -Bi...
