*Tries really hard to ignore the two previous posts* Ok, I'm like 90% sure I'm coming with at least one of my children, I'm waiting for my wife to decide if she and my other child are going or not. I think august is talking about going if I do and I'm tryingto talk another friend, possibly newbie :)...

*After hearing most of the plans, Lambic enters the stone building and takes up a position next to Sethreal behind Arthos and the metal clad door.* I really hope that this is only the door to store of alcohol for the bar and that it's been well protected and aged. Aah, well! A dwarf can dream can't ...

*Lambic waits outside the building.* I agree that we should look set up camp outside the buildings. Something about dead things makes me uneasy. Call me a pessimist. But I will follow the group's decision. I think that maybe we should check out all of the buildings before night fall though. *He stan...

Just to add some validity to the necesity of this conversation, I was questioned about this very subject after a recent practise, by some of the even more newbie than me.

*Lambic stands holding the saddle bag in one hand and a scroll in the other. He shakes his head and blinks as Ug transitions between accents.* Thank you Arthos for taking the effort to give this man as proper a burial as we can manage. Shale would you mind attempting to discern if any of this stuff ...

*Lambic, who has been staying at the back of the group, closes with Rahl.*

What did you find there?

*He reaches out a hand to take anything that is offered and examine it.*

Speaking as a new arrival with little to no LARP experience: Did I feel involved? Kind of. I sort of forced my way into a few situations. In fact there were times that Lambic felt very much like the "new guy in town." I think I might have felt more involved if I was a more combat oriented ...

Both Alendark and Dallid make good points, but I know for my concept, it wouldn't make me self sufficient rather able to do a very specific task. Its complex and since I haven't talked a GM about it yet, I don't want to mention the exact idea. I understand that trying to balance new palyer and old p...

I don't know that I've played enough to know power levels but I do know that I wound't mind the ability to flush out my character a little more. I would like to balance the character with some non-combat and some combat. And although you can do that its a little short to do it they way I originally ...
