I think a GM or NPC religion is bad idea. If there is any religion it should be PC driven and on down low. Now I think a GM/NPC driven morality code of what is considered right and wrong is a good thing. That is what laws are for. Is it religion, no, becasue there is no faith aspect. It is simple la...

Well said Zydana! Play with in your means. If you can't afford the the simple requirements of the path or race you want to play (I talking about $10 of dollars, not $100's), maybe this is not the game you should be playing. Maybe there are more important things you should be concentrating on besdies...

Interesting idea on the CR and armor. It truely hurts the warrior path unless the warrior gets something to replace the CR or gets a bigger bonus on the armor. CR is an assome skill because it only takes 5 minutes to repop. Armor requires a physrep and takes an in game skill to repair and takes time...

I have to agree with Zeira. I used modifed hockey armor when I started Larping. It helped me get into my character and folks knew I was wearing armor. And the cost was cheap!!! And it looked good. So the objection of armor is to expensive or folks can't afford it holds very little weight with me. Ar...

I kinda find it funny that I have had the same shield for 5-6 years as a PC and just now it's size is being questioned after I NPC'ed with it. Hmmm Interesting :D I have to agree that my shield offers oppimial protection escipicaly since I have used it for so long. It is part of my body. And I notic...

Or I'm I just that good Reid  Yeah, My shield is at the possible max size the rules allow so, yes, it's big. I also have it curving back to give me even more protection and i made it from a super light material. The design is granting me the most protection possible from a shield. But even ...

It alll depends on the stituation. For some reason you trip while fighting or an effect knocks you down, than it's cool as long as you are trying to get back on your feet. If you fall to the ground to avoid damage and hudle under your shield, than that is cheese. That person should be informed that ...

Yes, You would have 100% coverage if you hide behind a shield, not attacking, knee's bent, and a person is attacking you with 1 short sword. But the shield person is really not doing in battle besides being a target. And that person better not be kneeling or bending alot at the waist becasue than th...

Interesting idea, but will not work. I can create a shield that meets the proposed surface area rule that would protect around 90% to 95% of legal striking areas on my body. Becasue of this, surface area is not a good idea. The current rules make sure there is at least 25% legal striking area on a p...

Hmm, You bring up an interesting point Doug. How much protection should a shield give for Larp combat? 75%, 50%, etc... I believe the current rules would allow for about 75% coverage of the leagal hit areas. But there is a fine line between making the shields to small to be effective. I have found t...

Breaking temp breaks emersion. Kills the scene. This is what I'm considering minor safety vilotions Machine gunning Steping to close to a person but not touching them Hitting a person's foot getting hit in the head with a packet etc.. Major vilotions that need to be called on right than and there Ph...

I agree with you to a point. Truely extrem safety breaks must be called out so people don't get hurt. But minor safety violations call outs just hurt the game. And not taking damage is, well, cheezy. And who's subjective call is it if a hit is legal or not?? Try to call machine gunning on a person i...

Point! A skilled player with good equipment can swing very fast even to the point of other people thinking they are machine gunning. Some of the short length latex weapon are fast!!!! And lets face it, one is so easy and fast to say. I would say, if you can understand the call and feel the hit, take...
