Re: Not wearing armor phys rep
Yes, exactly what I meant. Even if I am wearing just medium legs and that's it for armor, I got +1 LP if they appear to be medium-weight leg armor to any onlooker. It's that also, at least awhile ago, wearing just plain clothes accurately showed you had no armor on your person, so was also worthy of...

Re: Not wearing armor phys rep
Ah, ok. As I am always wearing some sort of armor (varies depending on char obviously), I remember the +1 LP used to be for accurate representation of what armor you are wearing. So, for instance when Dani wore her big dresses and no armor *at all*, she got +1 LP because it was obvious to an onlooke...

Re: Not wearing armor phys rep
Of course if it's still an existing rule, remember you still get the 1LP bonus for accurate armor representation, as any onlooker can see you are not wearing any armor, thus removing any confusion. It came up years ago when Dani (my wife) asked about it in relation to her big dresses.

Re: benefits to wearing "real" armor
I never realized the shatter boon of "real" armor was still a thing. I have been thinking this whole time my stuff just gave me +1 LP and didn't count as weight. By the way, I consider "real" armor to be if a player can look at you and immediately get an idea of what kind of Armo...

Re: 2019 rules spitball
Races - Not nessesarily against the idea of dropping racial disciplines (and implementing some of the existing skills in another way) but I NEVER liked racial boons or skills being tied to race...I'd prefer a racial skill/s pool for people to pick from or if that's too complicated, expanding the es...

Re: Next Year Poll
While I know how you feel Mike, having talked plenty with you in private, it still sucks to hear/know all your "negative" feelings again, and makes me feel bad even at the thought that I could have participated in them (*cough* Repel/Banish *cough* lol). Here's hoping that as "just&qu...

Re: Next Year Poll
Now, that being said, in all seriousness if a shift to the new setting meant that there would be no chance of in-game return to Haven for any characters choosing to go onward...I would have to actually think stupidly hard about whether I would have to voluntarily and permanently retire a 6-year 40-s...

Re: Next Year Poll
Sorry Mike, I meant that my lack of being on Facebook probably hurt me in not hearing about the issue earlier as there's probably (?) more discussion going on there than these forums, rather than anything about my voice being heard or not. Not a complaint about staff in any way I have always been of...

Re: Next Year Poll
Guys stop bickering on a discussion that is very important to some of us, even if the post count is very low. (I am assuming my lack of a Facebook account is harming me on this).

Re: Next Year Poll
As a player facing the option of losing almost 9 years of experience-bought skills between two characters.....wow. I will already lose all my military and all my hard-enhanced holdings as Marcus, all of which has been spent to help the town. My current abilities of being a very superb healer (99% of...

Re: Poor Valkyn Vi, maybe next year eh?
With some cunning thought, questions after a scene to clarify what just happened can be as much or more powerful than a pre-scene question reavealing something in the script that we might run into. Just spitballing, some ideas I would try to ask: -After a seemingly genuine guy points us in a directi...

Re: Weekly Raffle Apr 8th - Apr 14th
After the cataclysm, I was little more than a child, and being half-Guthrie, a tiny one at that. I was taken in by a blacksmith and his wife after I wandered into the fishing village, lost and afraid, like many children after that horrible storm that broke the world. They became my new family, and t...

Re: Weekly Raffle Mar 18th - Mar 24th
Sometimes I think it's not as much good and evil. I think it's actually hard to define evil, as it is ever-changing. But for me, the measure of good is Compassion. Evil is the lack thereof. Compassion shows that someone is willing to think above their petty needs, to enrich the world around them, an...

Re: Weekly Raffle Feb 12th - 19th
Marcus leans back and crosses his arms. More important than love? Hmm...that's a pretty complicated one, as there are a number of types of love. Some are pretty selfish, others not so much. There certainly aren't a whole lot of things more powerful than love, I know that for sure. Love, either for ...

Re: Ark's thread of tough love and abuse: Resurection / Chip
My two cents on some things.... I think that if you played a healer for a while you would see how frustrating the characters in the main line of combat can make things. Healers are always seen to be tied up with a single character because noone ever cycles in and out of combat efficiently. They are ...
