I think the reason it costs 2 pts is because you can wake yourself up. You can't with normal awaken. So, a palladin waking themselves up should be able to do it at any point in the time they are asleep because it's not a resist.

4th level assassin Eagle Eye The assassin's sense are so acute that they now can see your bones and your brain, so they know when you are even thinking about doing absolutely anything. The assassin will know what you are planning to do and will know when you are going to do it so they are infallible...

Exactly, even if you don't have one of the quite a few ways to get around either vorpal or ko in the game there's always disruption and they have a fracking DAGGER. I need to use every ounce of skill I can muster to use it in a fight. Now, I may be able to sneak and do it a lot easier but that's the...

When you say 'it' what do you mean? Nevermind, this discussion has already been had ( poison + KO) and it's clear that you can't parry a vorpal KO. And you shouldn't be able to, that part isn't as clear unless you've been playing an assassin forever.

And awaken, or any number of potions or spells that give you any undead qualities, and palladin. Assassin is chody enough, don't take away the 1 thing that really says assassin. If you let an assassin stab you with a dagger that they've had to have in their hand for at least a total of 40 seconds yo...

Answered on the WH forums along with a clarification on # vorpal poison ko. Parry does allow you to reduce the # to 0 but K.O. infers that a tie goes to the ko'er so 0 vs 0 means you are still knocked the f#@& out but not poisoned. I think it was suggested that ANY call with knockout in it was n...

It's not that the work that does go on isn't appreciated, that certainly isn't the case. Would I have liked to see some clear definite formats for research? Yes. Would I have rather it had been all laid out and guidelined as to how research was supposed to be submitted, handled and returned to peopl...

This rule change could possible cripple existing characters if it is not complete prior to it's initiation. It's not a rule change as there are no rules governing between event research at all. As for the other complaints let me ask a question using the following example. Your character wants to re...

Why is that cheesy? It's stupid to stand there and keep attacking even though you aren't affecting it.

It's not a new mechanic it's the implementation of old mechanics, and the drawbacks are that you have to plan ahead, you don't get to use your skill with a 5, 10 or 30 count AND you have limited uses if they cost you anything to cast\make and the time to cast\make it. You can integrate research into...

It might add some coolness but it also adds a lot of confusion.
One person takes a sleep, 10 seconds later takes an 8 magic 10 seconds after that a 5 vorpal. 10 seconds after that they call resist. Did they resist the sleep, the magic or the vorpal?

No no no no, there is a skill in the game that lets you wake up after you've been slept and it's not resist sleep.
