Re: So...

I miss you all too! I work too much, but I am going to try and hit a few LARPs this year. Been too long now since I've seen all you marvelous people. Hopefully I'll get to make the rounds this year. Maybe even make it over to the wessiahd for a day or two.

It just adds more complication for very little benifit. You do realize that EVERY one of the non-human disciplines falls into that same category right? They aren't needed, add complication and make people that play humans feel jipped. NONE of them were "needed", players could still take t...

But on the flip side, I have to put on and wear incredibly hot costuming Leather pants, leather chaps a velvet shirt and a leather coat all black... No matter how much water I drink I lose about 6-7 lbs of water weight in a weekend. I'll take a pair of ears, or some face paint over that any day and...

Only when dealing with other humans, it's a negative with most other races and you usually have to either prove yourself to them or be brought to them by someone they trust. I thought from the beginning it was bullocks to give a mechanical advantage to "costumed" races only. Do I get a mec...

It's bad form not to give PC's or NPC's some indication that you aren't hurting them at all. It's LARP and some things have to be conveyed with words or actions or else we'd all just run around hitting each other with weapons or packets and not saying anything at all. The attacker usually has no ide...

My only thing to say here is that people get away with crap all the time in this game and there is a mechanical way around every one of the interrogation type skills so obviously the skills aren't that bad. Or maybe we should all just take Chris's "good" guy approach and kill anyone we thi...

If you're making latex weapons I would go with carbon fiber rods, they will hold up to stresses better. Personally, I don't think we should be allowed to use flat foam weapons which are pretty much all you can make with the fiberglass rods. Flat foam hurts a LOT more when it's cold outside unless yo...

I like the shatter idea, people wearing real armor should get some bonus just like everyone who wears a decent costume gets a bonus. It's not a penalty for not making minimum requirements it's a bonus for exceeding minimum requirements. Just like all the stuff people put into their costumes makes im...

Shouldn't the sleep of the seer be limited to tiny weapon like the assassin skill? The assassin skill is more versatile but it doesn't surge if you don't append it to one of the new charm skills and can be parried unlike the sleep.

If you have both improved Pick Simple Locks (Basic) and Improved Pick Complex Locks (Master) do you cut the simple lock time in half and then spend life pts to reduce it? If you have Admittance (pick simple and pick complex) as well does that mean any door can be opened in 7.5 minutes and you can sp...

Here is why I ask where the new and old skills go and a question. Can you unlearn other path skills that you buy with pts? The book says you can't unlearn your path but skills that you purchase from another path aren't your path so it's a gray area.

I mean let's say I take dual wield and get rid of pick simple lock, can I then spend 20 pts to get pick simple lock back. When I pick dual wield do I list it in my skill progression where pick simple lock was. If I buy back pick simple lock does it then go under other skills.

Heroes and villains expansion

Can you switch out any of the normal skills for these skills in the same level, meaning order doesn't matter at all? Can you pick the normal path skills back up with points if you want as you already have the rest of the progression below it? How do the expansion skills fit into the progression, do ...
